The research processes carried out by the AMJCC are carried out through the Research Group in Archeology and Pre-Hispanic Sociocultural Diversity- ARQUEODIVERSIDAD- attached to the Visual and Aesthetic Arts Department of the Integrated Arts Faculty. The most relevant research programs, carried out since 2000, are the following:

Pre-Hispanic Sociocultural Diversity in the North of South America (Since 2000)

Prehispanic Aesthetics (Since 2005)

Geoarchaeological Surveys in Valle del Cauca (2000-2016)

To develop these programs, the MAJCC has an Archeology laboratory and documentary sources made up of ceramics and bones libraries.
